So, this weekend I did something pretty cool.......... I graduated from college! I have been taking classes since 2014 online from Liberty University, and I finally made it to the finish line! I wasn't required to walk at graduation, but I wanted to-- I worked hard for this degree!
Liberty is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, so me and B headed on a road trip on Thursday!
The drive was about seven hours. It really wasn't that bad of a drive until the traffic in Charlotte! Oh my goodness, it was crazy. The snacks made it better... : ) We stopped for gas and got Cheerwine, and then a second stop I got something a little healthier: Green juice and pistachios!
We also stopped somewhere in South Carolina and ate lunch a Fudrucker's. B's choice... I literally had not been to a Fudrucker's since 8th grade after a soccer tournament. It was a major throwback. I got a hamburger and sweet potato fries, and it was pretty good!
When we got to our hotel, we unpacked and relaxed for a little while, then headed out to explore Lynchburg. It really is the coolest town! The downtown area backs up to the river, and the weather was perfect for some night walking.
We tried to go to a pizza place, but the wait was over an hour so we headed to this little taco place called El Jefe. It was a small place, but it had a really cool atmosphere with loud music and lots of people. I got 3 tacos: 1 pork, 1 chicken and 1 beef. They were absolutely delicious, plus they had a variety of hot sauces to choose from, which you know I love. The hotter the better!
After dinner we crashed in the hotel. I was exhausted from a day full of traveling! I'm glad I rested up, because Friday was b u s y!
